Carol Lee Jefferson
Carol Jefferson, grew up on the Southern Ute reservation out of southwest Colorado. Throughout her educational journey she has continuously carried a passion for helping those who have been affected from domestic Violence. With Bachelors in Family and Human Development, a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and currently working on a Masters in Organizational Development, she plans on helping break the cycle of domestic violence, by starting with the female youth who are growing up with domestic violence in their homes. She created an organization called Youthful Journey with the goal of building our female youth up with, self-confidence, self-love, self-respect and courage to believe in themselves. She aspirations to uplift not only the female’s Native youth to dream and then achieve, but all female youth, because united we rise. -- She has turned her passion for sports into a passion to help motivate others to get healthy. Being a strong advocate for mental, emotional and physical health She created the organization Empowered180, which promotes health and active living styles. Holding different bootcamps, classes, meeting for wellness, she is able to connect people who can support and encourage each other. Making the change is different for everyone, but the change is just as important for everyone.
